Causes
Justice is of utmost importance to Renee. She would love to contribute her all to every cause but to do so is to offer thin support of each. Instead she has chosen to focus on 3--and a 4th that made itself important to her.

Education

Education, specifically reading, helped Renee understand the world. When the censorship attacks landed in her yard, Forsyth County Schools, she took up the charge to educate and activate people to speak up for their intellectual freedom.

Voting

Voting is the most powerful action we have in our democracy. Everyone has something they are passionate about. Voting is the way to have a voice in how government works to improve (or, conversely deteriorate) our causes.

The cause Renee didn't plan for. Her son was diagnosed with autism at age 4. She joined the Walk Now committee to help the community. When Cure Autism Now joined Autism Speaks, she worked with them to help develop a school resource.
