This is a long-term opportunity within a firm that represents medical facilities, hospitals, and healthcare professionals .
Position: Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney (5+ Years)
About the Role
This attorney will defend medical facilities and medical personnel in complex medical malpractice litigation. The role offers hands-on responsibility managing cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
* Defend medical malpractice claims on behalf of hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers
* Manage cases from intake through resolution
* Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs
* Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and medical experts
* Prepare cases for trial, hearings, and mediations
* Work closely with clients, risk managers, and insurance carriers
* Provide strategic case evaluations and reporting
Qualifications
* 3+ years of medical malpractice defense experience
* Demonstrated experience representing medical facilities and medical personnel
* Strong deposition, motion practice, and trial preparation skills
* Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
* Licensed in MA (required)
* Interest in long-term growth within a stable, sizable firm
